Oldmancactus.com is situated on two beautiful, private acres in Southeast Tennessee. What began as a hobby in the 1990's quickly morphed into an internet business encompassing three green-houses and an impassioned quest to find the rarest and most beautiful natural oddities from around the world, and make those desert gems available to collectors here in the United States.
We do not advocate collecting plants from the wild and only sell cacti and succulents green-house grown from seed or cuttings.
We use pesticides very minimally and only when absolutely neccessary to protect the health of our plants. We mostly rely on sticky-traps, and a spray mixture consisting of Dr. Bronners liquid soap, alcohol and water rinsed with a stiff spray of water to dislodge pest naturally.
We are collectors as well as growers, and healthy plants are very important to us. We won't send you a cactus or succulent plant that we would not be willing to buy and grow ourselves. Our customer satisfaction rating is quite high and we don't take that honor lightly. We work hard to ensure that you recieve high quality plants that are correctly identified, pest free and fairly priced.
